Where do these interference come from?

Disruptions can have many causes:

  • Natural factors, such as lightning
  • Devices designed to transmit/receive waves, such as mobile phones, radars, radio, television, etc
  • Devices that generate emissions, such as engines, digital circuits, etc

CONSEQUENCES OF ELECTRO-MAGNETIC WAVES

Electromagnetic waves can disturb a signal, causing the electrical installation, a robot or machine to malfunction or transmit an incomplete or erroneous message (data, ignition order, etc.) or even completely block an industrial manufacturing process.

As a result, these disruptions can impact the proper functioning and productivity of a plant as well as the safety of the site.

Power & Control 

The DECONTACTOR™ EMC auxiliary contacts allow the process control such as connection control, motor thermal control, programmable logic controller (PLC), signal transmission, etc.
The EMC option  allows a reduction in the power (in dB) of their inherent emission of electromagnetic waves. The electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) trials are carried out on all products according to the IEC 62153-4-5 : 2016 norm. In a frequency range between 30 MHz and 1000 MHz, the EMC option offers a reduction between 30 dB and 70 dB of electromagnetic emissions.

OPTIMAL TRANSMISSION OF POWER

The socket-outlets resist to corrosion and chemical agents. The silver-nickel butt contact tips with springs ensure a permanent contact pressure and an optimal conductivity even after years of intensive use. The specifically designed cable terminals provide our socket-outlets with optimal resistance to vibrations (especially preventing cable loosening) and temperature variations as well as outstanding cable anchoring.

RED All the external surfaces of the devices are not treated so as to ensure optimal electrical conductivity.

ORANGE The conductive sealings are made of either metallic fibers, Monel wires silicone or graphite-loaded wires silicone, ensuring excellent EMC performances.

MARECHAL has developed a simple and reliable solution with outstanding performances in electromagnetic environments. This solution is available for MARECHAL® industrial or hazardous area device ranges, for high currents up to 1 250 A or for signal and control up to 37 contacts. This solution is particularly adapted to electromagnetic environments involving variable frequency drives for electric motors.

Marechal PN Compact Plugs & Sockets PN MULTICONTACT plug and socket is a compact connector made of GRP or metal with a current rating of 30A. The reliable multipins connector is suitable for industrial purposes with IP66 and IP67 water and dust-tight sealing when connected.
PN7C MULTICONTACT connectors form part of the Marechal range of signal and control plugs. PN7C plugs and sockets are compact and watertight and have a rated current of 25A, a maximum voltage of 500V and up to 7 contacts. Marechal PN7C & PN12C Compact Plugs & Sockets PN12C connectors form part of the Marechal range of signal and control plugs – MULTICONTACT connectors (5 to 37) with waterproof electrical sockets to IP66/IP67 and IK08 IK09 protection for electrical equipment against external mechanical impacts. PN12C plugs and sockets are compact and watertight and have a rated current of 16A, a maximum voltage of 500V and up to 12 contacts
DN9C plugs and sockets are metal multi-contact connectors and have a rated current of 30A, a maximum voltage of 415V and up to 9 contacts.DN9C connectors form part of the Marechal range of signal and control plugs multicontact connectors (5 to 37) with waterproof electrical sockets to IP66/IP67 and IK08 IK09 protection for electrical equipment against external mechanical impacts. Marechal DS6 DECONTACTOR Plugs & Sockets DS6 plugs and sockets have a rated current of 90A and a maximum voltage of 1000V with IP66/IP67 rating. Marechal DS plugs & sockets have an incorporated breaking capacity of AC-22 / AC-23 and have an impact resistant metal casing. The DS6 also features a safety shutter (socket IP4X/IPXXD), silver-nickel butt contacts and metallic braid to comply with international standards.
DS9 plugs and sockets have a rated current of 150A and a maximum voltage of 1000V with IP66/IP67/IP69 rating. Marechal DS plugs & sockets have an incorporated breaking capacity of AC-22 / AC-23 and have an impact resistant metal casing.
