Pepperl Fuchs GLCS control stations with Ex e Increased Safety explosion protection can easily be used with a wide variety of operators, labels, cable glands and accessories in hazardous area locations, including Zone 1/Zone 2 (gas) and Zone 21/Zone 22 (dust). 

Pepperl Fuchs GLCS Ex e control station can be configured to meet the application requirements of the user and care is taken to ensure that the space is used efficiently. The control units are manufactured from carbon loaaded glass fiber reinforced polyester (GRP) with stainless steel lid fixing bolts. The GRP material is corrison resistant and aids easy cleaning whilst being anti-static and UV stabilised.

All materials and components of the GLCS control stations are manufactured to the highest quality and therefore can be used in ambient temperatures between -40 °C and +55 °C.

Ex e Increased Safety Control units

An increased safety Ex e control unit is explosion protected by an enclosure which prevents the ignition of potentially explosive gases in hazardous area Zones 1 and Zone 2. The explosion protection concept of Ex e is to prevent sparks and hot surfaces inside and outside the electrical enclosure in normal operations.
