Pepperl Fuchs LCS control units with Ex e Increased Safety explosion protection can easily be used with a wide variety of operators, labels, cable glands and accessories in hazardous area locations, including Zone 1/Zone 2 (gas) and Zone 21/Zone 22 (dust).Â
Pepperl Fuchs LCS Ex e control unit can be configured to meet the application requirements of the user and care is taken to ensure that the space is used efficiently. The control units are manufactured from stainless steel.
All materials and components of the LCS control units are manufactured to the highest quality and therefore can be used in ambient temperatures between -40 °C and +55 °C.

An increased safety Ex e control unit is explosion protected by an enclosure which prevents the ignition of potentially explosive gases in hazardous area Zones 1 and Zone 2. The explosion protection concept of Ex e is to prevent sparks and hot surfaces inside and outside the electrical enclosure in normal operations.
