The Appleton™ Industrial Areamaster™ Connect LED Luminaire is engineered for top-tier performance and flexibility, offering a next-generation WirelessHART™ connected hazardous area LED lighting solution.
The hazardous area floodlight features adjustable lumen output ranging from 9,500 to 38,000 lumens, while enhancing the WirelessHART™ network. Areamaster™ Connect hazardous area LED luminaire is designed for harsh and hazardous industrial environments Zone 2 (21/22).
Areamaster™ Connect supports various smart control features, such as dimmable output, built-in photocontrol for daylight harvesting, and customised group scheduling. Its integrated 0-10v dimming controller allows for the adjustment of lighting output across a group of dimmable LED luminaires. Additionally, the optional Plantweb™ Insight Connected Lighting Application offers map-based commissioning, energy usage tracking, and maintenance notifications.
In the long term, the Connected Lighting Application tracks system health and energy usage to reduce maintenance needs, while also analysing sustainability metrics, such as CO2 emission reductions.

- Fully dimmable LED driver integrated with smart LED controls, including daylight harvesting and customised scheduling to enhance safety, reduce maintenance, and meet carbon reduction goals by activating lighting when operators are present
- Integrated WirelessHART radio enables a strong, self-forming mesh network, suitable for harsh and hazardous environments
- Dimmable light outputs up to 38,000 lumens with an L70 LED lifespan rated at 60,000 hours
- Group lighting controls allow dimming of up to 10 dimmable wired LED luminaires using the integrated 0-10V dimming controller
- Choice of optics for optimal light distribution: NEMA 3×3, 5×5, 7×6, or 7×7
- Choice of colour temperature (CCT): 5000K cool white, 4000K neutral white, 3000K warm white, 1800K, or Amber
- Standard 6 kV surge protection, heavy-duty high-temperature silicone gaskets, and rugged housing with superior thermal design for extended luminaire life
- Thermal shock and impact-resistant clear or frosted glass one-piece lens with captive fasteners; diffused polycarbonate lens also available. Guards and visors available separately
