ATX JBEL Series, manufactured by Appleton ATX, are small, polycarbonate terminal, Increased Safety junction boxes designed to protect electrical connections within hazardous areas. The Increased Safety junction boxes provide Explosion Protection to ATEX Ex e standards and are manufactured with static and impact resistant polycarbonate.

They are available in two sizes and suitable for either unarmoured or armoured cable. The JBEL Series are ideal for use in Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous area environments where Increased Safety junction boxes with pillar type terminals are required to provide Ex e explosion protection. The JBEL range is also suitable for use in hazardous area Zone 21 or 22 areas, where flammable dusts are present either continuously or intermittently such as food processing, dairy, brewing and silos.

These Increased Safety junction boxes feature a pillar type terminal block for easy connection, ideal for use in both onshore and offshore, wet or corrosive atmospheres such as petroleum refineries, chemical refineries and other industrial process facilities with hazardous area locations according to ATEX or IECEx.
