Product Overview

The Hazloc Heaters AEU1 is an explosion-proof electric air heater designed to provide either primary or supplementary heating for comfort or freeze protection in Zone 1, Zone 2, Zone 21 and Zone 22 hazardous areas where gas or dust atmospheres may be present. The range covers 3 sizes and a wide selection of voltage/frequency options (including 230/400VAC 50Hz and 480VAC 60Hz variants for marine/offshore applications), using ExCaliber™ liquid-to-air heat exchanger cores to support consistent heat transfer. Built for severe-duty service, it’s housed in a rugged steel cabinet with corrosion-resistant coating and includes integrated protections such as dual high-temperature limits and a pressure relief device, with a generous control enclosure to simplify external thermostat wiring.

Engineered for continuous and dependable operation, the AEU1 Hazardous Area Heater utilises a high-efficiency ExCaliber™ heat exchanger and powerful axial fan system to deliver consistent airflow and uniform heat distribution. With air delivery rates exceeding 6,000 m³/hr on larger models, it enables rapid warming of large workspaces and equipment zones. The corrosion-resistant steel enclosure, flameproof control housings and integrated thermal protection systems ensure long service life, minimal downtime and safe performance in harsh and potentially explosive environments.
