Explosion Proof Electric Air Heater

Hazloc Heaters AEU1 is an explosion proof hazardous area heater unit for providing safe heating suitable for use within ATEX and IECEx rated hazardous areas.

The harsh operating conditions of hazardous area locations require electric heating equipment that is safe, reliable, dependable.

The Hazloc AEU1 range of electric air heaters are designed to provide either primary or supplementary heating for comfort or for freeze protection in areas that are classified by ATEX and IECEx as hazardous locations due to gas or dust atmospheres.

The Hazloc Heaters AEU1 range is available in three sizes all featuring the ExCaliber high performance liquid-to-air heat exchanger cores that are available in twenty-six 230VAC or 400VAC, 50 Hz model choices to meet specific heat output requirements and sixteen 480VAC, 60 Hz models to accommodate shipping vessels, offshore rigs, etc.

Product Benefits

The rugged and versatile Hazloc AEU1 incorporates a high quality immersion heater, fan and motor assembly housed within a sturdy 2 mm (14 GA) steel cabinet with epoxy/polyester powder coating for corrosion resistance. As well as a large control enclosure with an extra port for convenient wiring of an external room thermostat, and enclosure O-rings to minimise moisture ingress.

Standard safety features include two temperature high limits and a pressure relief device.

All Hazloc Heaters AEU1 are designed for use in the toughest hazardous area applications.

All cabling used on the AEU1 heater is marine-grade armoured cable and marine-grade cable glands between enclosures.
