VEGA VEGACAP 98 capacitive level switch provides level measurement for liquids and bulk solids in applications such as overfill and dry protection system in adhesive or conductive products.
VEGACAP 98Â level switch works in products from a dielectric constant of 1.5 and has an exact switching point even with strong buildup.
The proven mechanical construction ensures a long life span and minimum maintenance requirements.
The VEGACAP 98 has a process fitting of G1½ thread.

FunctioN
The two electrodes of the capacitor are formed from the sensor and vessel. Â A capacitance change caused by a level change is evaluated by the integrated electronics and converted into a switching signal. The capacitive measuring principle doesn’t have any specific requirements with regards to installation and mounting.
Materials
The wetted parts of the instrument are made of stainless steel and the probe insulation of PTFE.
Housings
The level switch housings are available in plastic or aluminium. They are available with protection ratings up to IP 67.
ELECTRONICS
VEGA switches are available in different electronics versions. This level switch is available with a relay output (DPDT).
