Gas Analysers & Gas Transmitters (Hazardous Areas)
Hazardous Area Gas Analysers & Gas Transmitters
The range of gas analysers manufactured by SICK are suitable for use in ATEX Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous areas and can be installed directly at the measurement site.
With in-situ and extractive measurement technology for equipping complete facilities, SICK can also provide solutions for a variety of systems as well as complex measurement tasks.
In-situ gas analysers
In-situ gas analysers feature innovative measurement technology, which allows the analysers to be mounted directly at the measurement site: Offering real-time gas analysis directly within the process under system conditions.
These analysers are characterised by their minimal maintenance requirements and extremely short response times. SICK’s in-situ gas analysers are available in two different versions:
- The cross-duct version for representative measurement results across the entire duct diameter
- The measuring probe version, optimized for single-sided gas duct installation
Extractive gas analysers
Extractive gas analysers can be used in a large number of applications and are reliable even under harsh process conditions.
The extractive measurement technology extracts a partial gas flow from the gas duct, conditions the extracted gas and feeds it to an analyser module under constant conditions.
Gas transmitters are gas analysers which are also able to be used in the field. However, compared to the above gas analysers, a gas transmitter requires barely any additional technical aids to perform measurement tasks.
In many cases, there is no need for costly sampling and gas conditioning either. They are simple, quick, and low maintenance.
