ASCO 551-553 solenoid valves are 3/2 way direct operated pilot valves.

ASCO 551-553 Solenoid Valves features

Brass and stainless steel bodied high flow pilot valves with two spring return floating diaphragms for larger single actuators
Can be internally piloted, or externally piloted to convert valve to zero minimum pressure differential operation by flipping a gasket
Solenoid valves handle high pressure 3-way applications
No minimum operating pressure required for valve
Operating pressure: 2 to 10 bar
Ambient temperature: 0°C to +60°C
Flow: Series 551 860 l/min (ANR) – Kv : 12,5. Series 553 3800 l/min (ANR) – Kv : 52,5

ATEX & IECEx valves are available using ASCO 551-553 solenoids approved to EN 13463-1 for hazardous area applications.

EXPLANATION OF TEMPERATURE RANGE

Valve Temperature Range : the temperature range (TS) of the solenoid valve is determined by the selected sealing material, the temperature range for proper operation of the valve and according to the fluid (eg steam).

Operator Ambient Temperature Range : determined by power level and safety code.

Total Temperature Range : the total temperature of the solenoid valve is determined by both the limitations of the above.

ASCO 551-553 solenoid valves are available with NAMUR interface. NAMUR, translated from the German acronym to StandardiSation Association for Measurement and Control in Chemical Industries, is the specification for a standard interface between pneumatic actuators, solenoid valves and directional control valves.
