ASCO 551-553 NAMUR Solenoid Valve – Pilot Operated Valve

ASCO 551-553 NAMUR solenoid valves are pilot operated, spool type single/dual solenoid (mono/bistable function) with an aluminium body.

ASCO 551-553 Solenoid Valves features

The valve offers environmental protection against the ingress of liquids, dusts or any other foreign matter (environmentally-protected construction)
The spool valves 3/2 NC have threaded port connections
Solenoid valves handle high pressure 3-way applications
The solenoid valves satisfy all relevant EU Directives
Differential Pressure : 2 – 10,4 bar [1 bar = 100 kPa]
Flow (Qv at 6 bar) : 1/4 = 860 l/min (ANR) 1/2 = 3800 l/min

ATEX & IECEx valves are available using ASCO 551-553 solenoids approved to EN 13463-1 for hazardous area applications.

EXPLANATION OF TEMPERATURE RANGE

Valve Temperature Range : the temperature range (TS) of the solenoid valve is determined by the selected sealing material, the temperature range for proper operation of the valve and according to the fluid (eg steam).

Operator Ambient Temperature Range : determined by power level and safety code.

Total Temperature Range : the total temperature of the solenoid valve is determined by both the limitations of the above.

ASCO 551-553 solenoid valves are available with NAMUR interface. NAMUR, translated from the German acronym to StandardiSation Association for Measurement and Control in Chemical Industries, is the specification for a standard interface between pneumatic actuators, solenoid valves and directional control valves.
