SPARTAN Wildlife Friendly Linear Generation II range of Zone 1 light fittings form part of the ATEX Lighting range manufactured by Raytec and are designed for new hazardous area installations or to retrofit existing fluorescent installations near hazardous coastal facilities, or nature reserves in potentially explosive atmospheres. It uses a warmer wavelength of LED, avoiding the dangers associated with wildlife wandering towards blue-white light.

Using Raytec’s field-proven, long-life LED technology, the WL84 & WL168 Standard & Emergency Linear is globally certified for all Zone 1 applications.

The ‘Intelligent Emergency’ variant also self-tests the emergency battery to proactively monitor and maintain the overall health of the luminaire and communicate via a tri- colour indicator.

The overall dimensions, fixing centres and gland entries of the hazardous area lighting are compatible with common 2x18W fluorescents (WL84 Standard & Emergency) & 2x36W fluorescents (WL168 Standard & Emergency), with lumen output and light distribution also offering a direct replacement.

CoolXtrude™ thermal management technology ensures a lifetime of 10 years+, while providing a lumen output of up to 3,065 delivered lumens (WL84) and to up 6,130 delivered lumens. (WL168). All SPARTAN luminaires come with an industry leading 5 year warranty.
