Ex e Terminal Boxes stainless steel (Return flange)
The FXLS*.FO* series of hazardous area terminal boxes, manufactured by Pepperl+Fuchs, is a range of fibre optic (FO) splice boxes designed for protection of optical fibre cable splices within hazardous areas.
Up to 8 splice trays, compliant with DIN 47662 and Telecom standards, are installed inside of the stainless steel enclosure.
Each tray is capable of holding up to 12 fusion-type splices and is equipped with appropriate splice protection holders and FO strain relief.
The FO splice boxes are manufactured from electropolished AISI 316L grade stainless steel, to provide excellent resistance to tarnishing and corrosion.
This type of surface finish is designed to meet hygienic requirements required for pharmaceutical and food processing plants.
All FXLS enclosures feature a return flange sealing method, to prevent the accumulation of dirt and dust and prevent moisture from entering the enclosure whilst the hinged lid is opened.
The durable materials allow the splice box to be used in ambient temperatures between –50 °C and +55 °C.
