Silicone Heaters | UK & Export Sales. Technical Support. Best Prices. Ex Stock.

Flexible heating mats and jackets provide optimum heat transfer with excellent surface heat distribution and are the ideal solution for simple level surfaces when uniform heating of surfaces with more than two levels is required – typical applications include OEM and the manufacturing industries where bespoke heating solutions are needed.

Heaters can be designed to fit most shapes delivering completely uniform heating profiles across the entire surface over large areas without heat loss, hot spots or colds spots – precise, controlled and targetted heating with no temperature fluctuations.

Heating mats and jackets can also be manufactured separately from the insulation upon request and can be tailored to almost any complex shape or size.

Heating jackets are easy to apply and remove with integrated heat insulation, which considerably reduces the installation and maintenance overheads.

Heating mats and heating jackets are used in an extensive range of applications such as for heating drums, bunker tips, IBCs, fans, pumps and are also indispensable in research and development as well as nuclear technology.

Heating Mats & Heating Jackets – Layout Options

Heating mats and jackets consist of textile materials which attach to the surface object being heated, fastened using eyelets, hooks and velcro. The material used depends on the operating temperature and location of the application. Heating mats and jackets can also be manufactured for use in hazardous locations – contact T&D to discuss electrical heating requirements for Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous areas.

Aluminium-coated glass fabric is used for surface temperatures up to 160°C, plastic fabrics are used for temperatures up to 80°C, textile glass is used up to 450°C, while quartz is used for surface temperatures up to 900°C.

Heating Jacket with Sheet Metal Outer Jacket

Heating Jacket with Sheet Metal Outer Jacket

Heating jackets with a metal outer jacket can be used depending on the application, for example if high durability is required due to excessive load conditions – they are especially robust due to their design. Hinges and adjustable clamp fasteners are used to compensate for tolerances in the external diameter.
