Many historic and heritage buildings have Andel’s Floodline Leak Detection System installed to help prevent possible damage due to leaks from water services. Buildings such as Houses of Parliament, St. James Palace, Buckingham Palace, British Library, Windsor Castle, Marlborough House and Peterhouse College have had the Floodline system installed.

Historic and heritage buildings usually require extra protection against water leaks as older heating and cooling pipework and plant rooms often haven’t been installed correctly.

Water leak detection systems are installed within buildings to help restrict damage and keep disruption and loss to a minimum. This is crucial in these types of buildings as a lot of items are invaluable and often irreplaceable. The Andel Floodline range helps also to protect the structure of the buildings by providing an early warning signal.

Modern installations can be problematic in older buildings but the flexibility of the Floodline systems make it easy to set up. The water leak detection systems are sympathetically designed so the modern equipment doesn’t impact upon historic or traditional design and the wide range of leak sensors help to keep the buildings protected.

Floodline Control Panels can be used as a small stand-alone Single Zone system or form part of a larger Multi-Zone control panel system feeding back to a central BMS system using either volt-free contacts or RS232 Comms. T&C can provide design and supply service for Andel water leak detection systems.

Andel’s Floodline Leak Detection System flexibility makes it suitable for a range of different applications and therefore can also be installed in the following:

  • Computer Rooms
  • IT, Telecommunications and Switch Centres
  • Operations Rooms
  • Dealing Rooms
  • Banks
  • Leisure Facilities
  • Sports Centres
  • Hospitals
  • Government Departments and the MOD
  • TV and Radio Stations
