Heat Detection Cables – Patol
Fire & Heat Detection Cables, Sensors & Detectors
Heat Detection Cable
Patol fire and heat detection cables, sensors and detectors provide advance warning of overheating and early stage detection of heat and smoke to prevent fire – analogue, digital and fibre optic fire and heat detection cables are available.
Infrared heat and flame sensors for monitoring of materials in transit on conveyor systems and Long Range Infrared Flame Detectors provide heat and fire detection across large open spaces.
Heat, flame and fire sensing detectors and cables are installed to protect plant and personnel in commercial, industrial and hazardous area industries.

Heat Detection Cables from patol
Analogue Linear Heat Detection Cable
Patol linear detection cables provide advance detection of fire, heat and overheating where other heat detection systems would not be viable due to an inability to sustain the environmental requirements or through prohibitive costs – the primary mechanism of heat or fire detection is that the resistance of the cable dielectric is monitored between the central core conductor and braid layer, which has a negative temperature coefficient (NTC).
Digital Linear Heat Detection Cable
Patol digital detection cable operates at fixed temperatures and is non-resettable – the heat detection cable is twisted pair, two core cable. Each cable core is a tinned copper coated spring steel conductor with special heat reactive polymer insulation. The cable has a protective chemical and UV resistant outer jacket / sheath. Additional mechanical protection is provided with optional stainless steel outer armour.
Fibre Optic Linear Heat Detection Cable
Sensa systems provide reliable and intelligent fire detection and asset monitoring – fiber optic technology utilised within Sensa’s systems combine the benefits of linear heat detection cable speed of detection, reliability and versatility.
Selecting Heat & Fire Detection Cable
In order to select and specify the correct heat or fire detection cable contact T&D with:
- Length Of Conveyor
- Width Of Conveyor
- Speed Of Conveyor
- Height From Where Heat/Fire Detection Unit Can Be Stationed Above The Conveyor
- Detection Temperature
- Number Of Heat/Fire Detection Systems Required
T&D can organise site survey to assess and specify complete heat and fire detection cable systems.
