Appleton ATX JBEP Series are fibreglass reinforced polyester terminal Increased Safety junction boxes for electrical and power applications, manufactured by Appleton ATX, are factory drilled and equipped. They are ideal for lighting and distribution applications in Zone 1 and 2, 21 and 22 hazardous areas.
The enclosures feature pillar (live mantle clamping), miniature or screw terminals for use with both armored and unarmored cable. Cable glands are supplied as standard with unarmoured cable versions, and are available as an option with armoured cable versions.
The JBEP Series of Increased Safety junction boxes are designed for motor and power distribution applications in Zone 1 and 2 (Gas) and Zone 21 and 22 (Dust). These enclosures can be supplied with 16 mm² to 240 mm² terminals in multiple configurations, ideal for use in onshore and offshore wet or corrosive atmospheres such as petroleum refineries, chemical refineries and other industrial process facilities with hazardous area locations according to ATEX or IECEx.
The JBEP Series by Appleton ATX is also suitable for use in hazardous area Zone 21 or 22 areas, where flammable dusts are present either continuously or intermittently such as food processing, dairy, brewing and silos.
