Ex e Increased Safety Heaters

Chromalox CAW range of hazardous area convection heaters are ATEX certified heaters for harsh, industrial and explosive atmosphere applications for Zone 1 and Zone 2 (Gas atmospheres) and Zone 21 and Zone 22 (Dust atmospheres) hazardous areas – these heaters are categorised according to Ex e Increased Safety Explosion Protection concept.

The Chromalox CAW has a rugged corrosion resistant 304 grade stainless steel case which surrounds heavy duty, finned, aluminium heating elements which increase heat transfer and minimise the surface temperature of the heater unit.

Ex e Increased Safety heaters are certified to meet ATEX equipment directive standards and is suitable for horizontal wall and floor mounting. They are suitable for use in areas such as aircraft hangars, instrumentation cabinets, fuel servicing areas, chemical plants and offshore installations, as well as for frost protection.
