Airlamps for Zone 1, Zone 2 Hazardous Area Lighting

Wolf Airturbo are airlamps for safe use in hazardous area for safe use in hazardous area Zone 1 & 2 (Gas, Vapour & Mist Explosive Atmospheres) – T&D are Approved Distributors for the Wolf Lighting including handlamps, torches, headtorches and floodlights.

Wolf Airturbo airlamps meet strict requirements of underground explosion proof lighting for coal mines and is BASEEFA certified for use in zones 1 and 2 hazardous areas. Mostly used in oil and petrochemicals industry for tank cleaning and pipeline inspections.

Once the Airturbo airlamps are connected to a suitable air supply, a continual output of high quality general lighting is produced, even under water. The lamp has a 15mm toughened glass lens for high impact strength and pressure resistance.

Housings of the airlamps are spark free cast brass with a forged brass safety hook, all nickel-plated. The generator is a compressed air driven turbo-alternator of simple design and robust construction and a gunmetal impulse turbine wheel produces the energy to power the 12v 55w Tungsten Halogen bulb.

Wolf Airturbo airlamps provides reliable and versatile hazardous area lighting – the torches utilise tungsten halogen technology as a light source and are used for safe lighting in hazardous area Zones 1 and Zones 2 (potentially explosive gas atmospheres) (IIA, IIB & IIC Groups) with T6 temperature classification.
