Wolflite H-4DCA are ATEX certified handlamps for safe use in hazardous area Zone 1 & 2 (Gas, Vapour & Mist Explosive Atmospheres) and Zone 21 & 22 (Dust Explosive Atmospheres) – T&D are Approved Distributors for the Wolf Lighting including handlamps, torches, headtorches and floodlights.

Wolf H-4DCA Handlamp is constructed from a robust and highly durable thermoplastic material and is ideal for use within harsh industrial environments. In addition to this, the material is anti-static, preventing the build up of potentially dangerous electro-static charges.

H-4DCA is fitted with a 6mm toughened glass lens which is scratch and impact resistant and two rubber seals, one around the glass lens and another fitted at the lens ring and lamp body joint provide ingress protection to IP66.

A highly efficient halogen bulb provides high light output, rated at 4.8V 0.5A, focused within a 100mm diameter parabolic reflector. This provides the user with an extremely well defined beam of intense white colour.

H-4DCA handlamp has been approved for use with alkaline manganese, zinc chloride or zinc carbon primary cells. The use of alkaline manganese cells is recommended because of their significantly greater capacity, delivering a brighter white light for up to 20 hours duration from one set of cells; by comparison, nearly four times the duration of zinc D cells. The H-4DCA is supplied complete with a convenient removable shoulder strap.

ATEX Handlamps For Hazardous Areas

Wolflite H-4DCA handlamp provides reliable and versatile hazardous area lighting according to both ATEX Directive and IECEx standards – the handlamps utilise a halogen filled filament bulb as a light source and are used for safe lighting in hazardous area Zones 1 and Zones 2 (potentially explosive gas) and Zones 21 and Zones 22 dust atmospheres (IIA, IIB & IIC Groups) with T4 temperature classification.
