The intent of this communication is to provide customer confidence and certainty about the future security of specification compliance for clients of EXHEAT Industrial Ltd and their Preferred Distributor, Thorne & Derrick.
From 1 January 2023 any products placed on the market for use in Explosive Atmospheres, in Great Britain (England, Wales and Scotland), must carry UKCA (UK Conformity Assessment) marking showing compliance to the new UKEx Scheme.
UKCA Conformity Assessment includes products that have previously required CE marking in compliance with the ATEX Directive. The conformity assessment and pertinent technical requirements used to assess and cover the compliance for UKCA markings are largely the same as they have been for CE marking to ATEX – consequently our manufacturing supply chain have been challenged with satisfying the requirements for UKCA conformity assessment to demonstrate and secure UKCA marking.
