What is ATEX heat Tracing?

ATEX heat tracing involves the use of specialised heating cable systems that have been developed in accordance with ATEX regulations for use in hazardous areas – where there is a danger of explosions due to the presence of flammable gases, liquids, or dust. ATEX trace heating cables are used to maintain a consistent temperature to prevent frost damage of pipework.

Trace Heating Systems consist of electrical heating cables and controls that are installed on pipes, vessels, and other equipment to keep them at a specific temperature. The heating cables are designed to withstand harsh conditions, including corrosive chemicals, mechanical impact, and extreme temperatures.
