How To Stop Drums Freezing By Using Drum Heaters

Drum Heaters prevent Drum contents Freezing
In cold ambient environments and winter months, frozen drum containers and contents can be difficult to handle.
T&D supply drum heaters and heating jackets to suit a range of drums and container sizes to overcome costly loss of production, revenue and reputation caused by drum contents freezing.
Drum heating jackets provide frost protection to drum containers and their contents distributing surface heat and preventing the contents from freezing. Drum heater jackets can also be used to heat up drums further and maintain a steady temperature.
HISD drum heating jackets are available to suit 25, 50, 105 and 200 litre drums.
Alternatively, custom heating jackets can be provided to fit other drum sizes.
Contact T&D to discuss drum heating solutions for hazardous area locations and potentially explosive atmosphere Zones (both Zones 1 & Zone 2).
Cold weather typified by freezing air temperatures, wind chill, snowfall and ice formation pose serious challenges to plant engineers, production managers and warehouse managers – contact T&D to discuss Winterisation and cold weather protection for plant including drums, valves, pipework, tanks, instrumentation and sensing lines using heat tracing cables.
