ASCO WSCR WSCREM WSCRIS Valve operators

ASCO WSCR, WSCREM & WSCRIS series are increased safety, encapsulated or flameproof solenoid valve operators for use with applications in Zone 20 hazardous areas and potentially explosive atmospheres – in accordance with explosion protection concept type Ex db (Flameproof), Ex eb mb (Increased Safety and Encapsulation) and Ex ia (hazardous area Zone 20).

These series of solenoid valve operators are manufactured and certified for hazardous area use according to ATEX, IECEx and IEC regulations.

The operators feature an Ex d Flameproof enclosure with 1/2 NPT or M20 x 1.5 threaded entry hole for a wide range of cable glands, into which any Ex db IIC approved cable entry device can be fitted.

ASCO WSCR, WSCREM & WSCRIS valve operators can be rotated 360°, allowing the user to select the best position for cable entry to suit each individual application and mounted in any position without it affecting the operation of the valve.

A variety of valves are available for supply with these solenoid valve operators.

The Ex ia enclosure is standard supplied with a blue Ex e plastic cable gland and the Ex eb mb in metal
NACE compliant including the solenoid enclosure internals
The minimum allowable ambient temperature is -60°C for the operator (-40°C for the Intrinsically Safe construction WSCRIS)
