VEGA VEGAFLEX 83 guided wave radar level sensor provides continuous level and interface measurement for many liquids with the highest hygienic requirements including applications with vapour buildup, foam or condensation.

VEGAFLEX 83 level sensor features a guided adjustment make setup quick, simple and reliable and a stainless steel probe enables the level sensor to withstand aggressive or corrosive liquids.

The hygienic design ensures simple cleanability and maintenance free measurement in tanks or sterile containers in the food and pharmaceutical industry.

VEGA level sensors are suitable for use in hazardous areas and their instruments also have various ship approvals such as e.g. DNV, GL, LRS or ABS.

VEGA LEVEL SENSOR – VEGAFLEX 83 FEATURES

FunctioN

High frequency microwave pulses are coupled onto a cable or rod and guided along the probe. The pulse is reflected by the product surface. The time from emission to reception of the signals is proportional to the level in the vessel.

Materials

The wetted parts of the instrument are made of stainless steel and the instrument seal is made of one of the following FKM, FFKM or EPDM.

Housings

The level sensor housings are available as double chamber version in plastic, stainless steel or aluminium with protection ratings up to IP66/IP67.

ELECTRONICS

VEGA sensors are available in different electronics versions. Apart from the two-wire electronics with 4 … 20 mA/HART, there are two pure digital versions with Profibus PA and Foundation Fieldbus possible as well as one version for connection to a signal conditioning instrument.

VEGAFLEX level sensors provide level measurement for bulk solids, liquids and separation layers (interfaces). In guided wave radar level measurement, microwave pulses are conducted along a cable or rod probe and reflected by the product surface.
