Hazardous Area Light Fittings

Raytec SPARTAN have added two new variants to the LED Linear hazardous area lighting range with the launch of the Raytec WL84-1200 and WL168-1500 luminaires – the ATEX light fittings offer the user lighting for hazardous area locations with the output of a 2ft and 4ft LED fitting, but in the body of a larger 4ft and 5ft luminaire respectively.

Raytec Linear lighting has been designed as a retrofit solution for traditional fluorescent to maximise value and cost savings.

Be Efficient, Upgrade Your Hazardous Area Light Fittings Easily

The performance benefits of LED light fittings can allow the user to downsize the size of the hazardous area light fitting when switching and ultimately save money.

However, recognising that many lighting installations require a retrofit solution, where for ease of installation the physical size of the light fitting needs to be the same as the fluorescent fitting it’s replacing, Raytec have launched the SPARTAN Linear WL84-1200 (a 4ft fitting with the output of the standard WL84 2ft fitting), and Linear WL168-1500 (a 5ft light fitting with the output of a standard WL168 4ft fitting).

The SPARTAN Linear WL84-1200 is a direct retrofit to existing 2x36w fluorescent lighting.

With an energy saving of 56% per fitting, the WL84-1200 light fitting can offer significant energy savings and cost reductions over larger hazardous area installations.

The larger light fitting is the SPARTAN WL168-1500 which is a direct retrofit to existing 2x58w fluorescent lighting and delivers an energy saving of 41% per fitting.

The lumen output and light distribution also allow a direct, easy replacement of traditional fluorescent luminaires, meaning clients will be able to upgrade lighting installations without complication and enjoy all the benefits of long life LED lighting while making regular lamp changes redundant and achieving large energy savings.

Reduce Lighting Maintenance Costs

The modular design, which is a feature across all of the Raytec SPARTAN products, also extends to the SPARTAN WL84-1200 and WL168-1500 light fittings and allows quick and easy servicing and inspection of all key components including LED and PSU modules. With a traditional hazardous area fluorescent fitting this would not be possible and maintenance would be required more regularly.

With the additional benefit of Raytec SPARTAN’s effective thermal management system, the LEDs are kept cool and the operating temperature low, so you can be sure that your light fitting will provide exceptional performance over a long lifetime when compared to fluorescent lighting solutions.
