Crowcon Tetra 3 Gas Detector
Single Gas & Multi-gas Detectors | Portable Gas Detection & Safety | Industrial Locations & Hazardous Area Zones
The Crowcon Tetra 3 portable gas detector is a compact, robust and simple to use multigas monitor.
The Crowcon Tetra 3 mainly detects the common four gases (carbon monoxide, methane, oxygen and hydrogen sulphide), but also an expanded range: ammonia, ozone, sulphur dioxide, H2 filtered CO (for steel plants) and IR carbon dioxide (for safe area use only) – this portable gas detector is specified in harsh environmental conditions such as water, telecoms, food, brewing or hydrocarbons sectors due to the small size, clear display readings and simple single button functionality.
C-Test bump solution with configuration update keeps the Crowcon gas detection equipment correctly configured to ensure the product is consistently up-to-date without the need for a service or technician team – the gas detector is also water and dust resistant to IP65 and IP67.
Crowcon Tetra 3 Portable Gas Detector
key Features
- Simple Operation – operated by a single button for all functions (can be used whilst wearing gloves) and has an easy to read backlit display for gas readings and diagnostics
- Robust Construction – rugged impact resistant design and is water and dust resistant to IP65 and IP67. It can be submerged in water and offers protection in the harsh environments
- Audible Alarms – The loud 95dB alarm vibrates with a prominent red/blue visible alarm that ensures the area is evacuated quickly
- Reliability – The lithium-ion battery provides continuous use for 14 hours from one charge and provides a clear warning when calibration is due

Crowcon Portable Gas Detector – suitable for demanding industrial environments, such as those in the water, telecoms, food, brewing or hydrocarbons sectors
Crowcon Tetra 3 Gas Detector Bump Testing & Calibration
Routine bump testing is recommended for the range of Crowcon portable gas detectors prior to each use. Bump testing is a brief application of a gas to the sensor to invoke a prescribed reaction, ensuring the gas detector reacts as expected.
Bump testing provides a quick, easy and direct method of verifying gas detectors are performing as required and takes a lot less time than ‘zeroing’ the device.Â
The bump test is widely accepted as a suitable method of testing gas detection equipment.Â
The T3 Gas Tester offers a solution that ensures compliance and is a cost-effective, fast and simple solution.
