Crowcon t4 Gas Detector
Single Gas & Multi-gas Detectors | Portable Gas Detection & Safety | Industrial Locations & Hazardous Area Zones
The T4 is a portable gas detector manufactured by Crowcon which provides a personal gas detection solution against four of the most common gas hazards – carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulphide, flammable gases and oxygen depletion. The T4 also now has improved detection of pentane, hexane and other long chain hydrocarbon.
This portable gas detector offers compliance, robustness and a low total cost of ownership. The large single button along with the intuitive menu system allows the Crowcon T4 to be operated easily with gloves on.
Crowcon T4 is the toughest portable gas detector – durable by design and includes an integrated rubber booster as standard.
The gas detector has been drop tested to 4m and is well protected against water ingress with IP65 and IP67 certification. The Crowcon T4 is also Zone 0 ATEX approved allowing for uninterrupted work in the most demanding environments.

Key Features
- Simple Operation – The Crowcon T4 is operated by a single button for all functions (can be used whilst wearing gloves) and has an easy to read backlit display with the option to flip the screen 180° for a better view of gas readings and diagnostics
- Robust Construction – The T4 has a thick anti-shock rubber and can be used in the most arduous conditions thank to a water and dust rating to IP65 and IP67
- Audible Alarms –Â The loud 95dB alarm vibrates with a prominent red/blue visible alarm that ensures the area is evacuated quickly
- Reliability – The T4 has a superb battery life of 24 hours covering multiple or long shifts without needing to stop and charge

Crowcon T4 Gas Detector – portable multigas detector provides effective protection against 4 common gas hazards: carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulphide, flammable gases and oxygen depletion.
Crowcon Connect is the only connected safety software that works on new and existing Crowcon portable detectors. Crowcon Connect is developed in-house enabling bespoke solutions for any customer, anywhere.

Crowcon T4 Gas Detector
Crowcon T4 Gas Detector TWA Resume Function
The TWA resume feature is unique to the T4 gas detector and ensures toxic gas exposure is calculated accurately even if the device is switched off for a break or during travel to another site.
When most portable devices are switched off, the algorithm that assesses the TWA exposure assumes it is the end of the shift. When turned on again they are effectively reset losing all previous measurements.
The Crowcon TWA function eradicates this problem by giving the option to include all previous measurements from within the correct time frame.

Crowcon T4 Gas Detector – Positive Safety
Crowcon T4 Detector Bump Testing And Calibration
Routine bump testing is recommended for the range of Crowcon portable gas detectors prior to each use. Bump testing is a brief application of a gas to the sensor to invoke a prescribed reaction, ensuring the gas detector reacts as expected.
Bump testing provides a quick, easy and direct method of verifying gas detectors are performing as required and takes a lot less time than ‘zeroing’ the device.Â
The bump test is widely accepted as a suitable method of testing gas detection equipment.Â
Crowcon’s visual ‘traffic light’ indication, provides constant visual assurance that T4 is operating soundly and conforms to site bump test & calibration policy. Added safety feature of the Crowcon T4.
T&D provide competitive prices and delivery for all Crowcon Gas Detectors, including the Crowcon T4.
