EXHEAT RFA-OS hazardous area oversink water heaters provide certified heating for Zone 1 & Zone 2 (Flammable Gas) hazardous areas and explosive atmospheres according to ATEX Directive. The RFA-OS range of oversink water heaters offers the ideal solution for providing hot water for hand wash / hygiene use, in rest rooms and laboratories.

Typical applications for the EXHEAT RFA-OS include oil jetties, laboratories, chemical plants, offshore installations and wash rooms in petrochemical installations.

The RFA-OS water heaters are fitted with a control thermostat adjustable up to 65ºC and provide 2KW using a 240V single phase supply. The hazardous area oversink water heaters are available in two variations of capacity, either 7 litres or 10 litres.

When installing, the EXHEAT RFA-OS hazardous area oversink water heater shouldn’t be mounted too high on the wall and the swivel outlet should be approx 150mm above the sink to avoid splashing.
