The Abtech Nimbus is a low profile LED panel fully ATEX and IECEx certified for use in Zone 1 hazardous areas. The Zone 1 LED Panel provides a significant weight and energy saving over a traditional recessed fluorescent.
The low glare panel design of the intrinsically safe LED panel provides excellent uniformity and colour rendering, replicating the light output of fluorescent luminaires. The Abtech Nimbus is available in pure white (5700K) or warm white (2700K) giving installers more flexibility and the ability to match colour temperature to individual applications. This makes the Nimbus ideal for installation in control rooms, corridors and offshore accommodation modules. The panel also has an in-built push to dim facility.
To protect against the rigors of offshore installation, the Nimbus control gear has been designed with harmonic and overvoltage protection to prevent damage to the LEDs.
Installation of the Nimbus panel could not be simpler via M3 mounting studs. Panels are flush mounted as standard and are intended to sit below, rather than replace ceiling tiles. This ensures that ceiling integrity is maintained, particularly important for SOLAS B-15 fire rated installations.
The driver unit for the panel can be installed up to four metres away, allowing it to be conveniently located and save space in the ceiling void. The connection between the panel and driver is via a flame retardant LSZH cable and features a plug & socket connection for easy installation.
