EXHEAT HIH hazardous area thermostats are designed to accommodate most makes of head mounted process transmitter or termination block providing hazardous area certified heating and air warming

The range of HIH instrument enclosures manufactured by EXHEAT are certified for use in hazardous areas where the atmosphere is classified as a Zone 1 or 2 (IIA, IIB, IIC) Gas Group, or a Zone 21 or 22 (IIIA, IIIB, IIIC) Dust Group explosive atmosphere according to ATEX Directive.

Installation – Exheat HIH

The instrument housing should be securely fixed in position using the M8 side mountings or
with the wall brackets supplied
All terminal connections of the hazardous area thermostat should be checked for tightness before energising
At no time is this equipment to be used outside its approved ambient temperature range of – 50°C to +60°C (this may be restricted further by the limitations of the transmitter (where fitted) – refer to the transmitter certificate where applicable
