MEDC XB8 Hazardous Area Beacons
MEDC XB8 | ATEX Beacons
Zone 1 & Zone 2 Hazardous Areas
MEDC XB8 are ATEX beacons that are rugged, intrinsically safe and weatherproof intended for potentially Explosive Atmospheres in ATEX & IECEx Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous areas.
The Hazardous Area Beacons have been designed with high ingress protection to cope with the harsh environmental conditions found offshore and onshore in the oil, gas and petrochemical industries – and can be ordered from Thorne & Derrick with MEDC call points for integration into fire detection systems in the explosive atmosphere industries.
The ATEX beacon is available in 12V and 24V versions and for gas groups IIB or IIC.
The ATEX beacon with explosion protection concept Ex d is also available as a non-hazardous version at a lower cost.
