The Areamaster ATEX PN Series of Explosion Proof HID Floodlights manufactured by Appleton ATX are powerful, efficient floodlights for hazardous areas. These floodlights are listed for simultaneous exposure to gas, combustible dusts and flammable gases or vapors.

Typical Explosion Proof HID Floodlight applications include industrial complexes, ship loading areas, and other hazardous areas where dust, water, dirt and rough usage are a problem. A highly efficient, integrally ballasted explosion proof floodlight with a compact, lightweight, yet rugged die cast aluminium construction which is simple to install and maintain.

The Appleton ATX PN Series HID Floodlight has an integral ballast, one piece lens cover, yoke mounting and reflectors which are double segment, compound parabolic with finish for maximum efficiency.

The Ex nR floodlight is provided with a trunnion which will mount directly to a flat surface, complete with degree markers to assist in the aiming of the HID floodlight. To tilt the floodlight, loosen the four trunnion bolts, rotate to desired position and retighten the bolts. The fixture can be mounted in any position between horizontal (with lens down) to horizontal (with lens up).

The change in the connection of the ballast depends on the voltage, 230 V or 240V, required.
