The JBES Series are Increased Safety junction boxes, manufactured by Appleton ATX, which are designed to house and protect electrical connections in hazardous areas. They are produced from 316L grade stainless steel, are pre-drilled and come equipped with terminals (including an Earth crossing terminal).

These Increased Safety junction boxes feature smooth, continuously welded seams and hinges supplied on all boxes. They are ideal for use in onshore and offshore wet or corrosive atmospheres such as petroleum refineries, chemical refineries and other industrial process facilities with hazardous area locations according to ATEX or IECEx.

The JBES range is also suitable for use in hazardous area Zone 21 or Zone 22 areas, where flammable dusts are present, either continuously or intermittently such as food processing, dairy, brewing and silos.
