Hazardous Area Immersion Heater

EXHEAT MTH mini tank hazardous area immersion heater provide certified heating for Zone 1 & Zone 2 (Flammable Gas) and Zone 21 & Zone 22 (Dust) hazardous areas and explosive atmospheres according to ATEX Directive. For hazardous area applications is part of the smaller range of immersion heaters which provide an ideal solution when space is minimal.
Typical applications for the EXHEAT MTH mini tank immersion heater include tank heating for oil and water, frost protection and boiler equipment.
The immersion heater is suitable for applications with ambient temperatures as low as -60°C. The heater also has different sized withdrawable cartridge elements available, and optional built in thermocouple for over-temperature protection.
The MTH immersion heater range is fully certified for use in hazardous areas where the atmosphere is classified as a Zone 1 or 2 (IIA, IIB, IIC) gas group, or a Zone 21 or 22 (IIIA, IIIB, IIIC) dust group.

- ‘Plug and play’ style immersion heater, screws directly to tank or boss as required
- Mounting Installation – horizontal or vertical installation
- Fully integrated PCB to control the over temperature, thermometer chip as well as the thermocouple for process control
- Suitable for ambient temperatures as low as ≤40°C to ≤60°C
- Long term stability
- Variable length elements and duties
- 1/2″ BSP or NPT fixing as standard – Suitable to work with most adaptors
- Fully 321 stainless steel elements and fixing. Optional materials including NACE requirements available on request
- Suitable for working pressures up to 18.3 bar g
