VEGA VEGAFLEX 82 guided wave radar level sensor provides continuous level measurement for bulk solids including applications with strong dust generation, condensation or buildup.
VEGAFLEX 82Â level sensor features a shortenable probe with an automatic probe end tracking enabling the level sensor to measure almost any bulk solid.
The proven mechanical construction and guided adjustment enables a simple and reliable making the VEGAFLEX 82 an economical solution to ultrasonic level measurement.
Guided wave radar measurement is versatile meaning the VEGAFLEX 82 is suitable for numerous industrial sectors from chemicals to energy, cement plants to plastics manufacture and even grain storage.

VEGA LEVEL SENSOR – VEGAFLEX 82 FEATURES
FunctioN
High frequency microwave pulses are coupled onto a cable or rod and guided along the probe. The pulse is reflected by the product surface. The time from emission to reception of the signals is proportional to the level in the vessel.
Materials
The wetted parts of the instrument are made of stainless steel and the instrument seal is made of one of the following FKM, FFKM or EPDM.
Housings
The level sensor housings are available as double chamber version in plastic, stainless steel or aluminium with protection ratings up to IP66/IP67.
ELECTRONICS
VEGA sensors are available in different electronics versions. Apart from the two-wire electronics with 4 … 20 mA/HART, there are two pure digital versions with Profibus PA and Foundation Fieldbus possible as well as one version for connection to a signal conditioning instrument.

VEGAFLEX level sensors provide level measurement for bulk solids, liquids and separation layers (interfaces). In guided wave radar level measurement, microwave pulses are conducted along a cable or rod probe and reflected by the product surface.
