VEGA VEGACAP 65 capacitive level switch provides level measurement for liquids and bulk solids for use in many different industries.

VEGACAP 65 level switch features a partially insulated shortenable probe that offers high flexibility and suitability for measuring bulk solids and non-conductive liquids such as oil.

The proven mechanical construction ensures high functionality, long lifespan and minimum maintenance requirements.

The VEGACAP 65 is a point level sensor has a reliable switching point due to a large gravity weight.

FunctioN

The two electrodes of the capacitor are formed from the sensor and vessel.  A capacitance change caused by a level change is evaluated by the integrated electronics and converted into a switching signal. The capacitive measuring principle doesn’t have any specific requirements with regards to installation and mounting.

Materials

The wetted parts of the instrument are made of stainless steel and the probe insulation of PTFE.

Housings

The level switch housings are available in plastic, stainless steel or aluminium. They are available with protection ratings up to IP 67.

ELECTRONICS

VEGA switches are available in different electronics versions. Apart from the versions with transistor output, contactless electronic switch and relay output, a two-wire version for connection to a signal conditioning instrument is available.
