Manual call points, manufactured by Pepperl+Fuchs, allow the manual operation of a facility alarm system upon verification of an emergency, such as fire in a potentially explosive atmosphere or hazardous area location Zone 1 (21) or Zone 2 (22).

Call points are manufactured from corrosion resistant aluminium or glass fibre reinforced polyester (GRP), making them ideal for use in the harshest and hazardous industrial environments. Compliant to SIL 2 as well as ATEX, IECEx, EAC and INMETRO approvals, manual call points are suitable for ambient temperatures between -40 °C to +55 °C and are also available in Ex d (flameproof) or Ex i (intrinsic safety) variants.
