SPARTAN Mid Power ATEX Bay light
The SPARTAN Mid Power Bay range is designed for new hazardous area installations or to directly replace traditional discharge light sources.
Now available in NEW Intelligent Emergency variants combining advanced technology with a relentless commitment to safety, providing unparalleled reliability and illumination in even the most demanding hazardous environments. Available in 90-minute and 180-minute duration variants, as a standard (other options available).Â
Offering increased performance with a high lumen output of up to 15,000 lumens the ATEX floodlight is designed to directly replace traditional discharge light sources up to 250W SON.
The ATEX Mid Power Bay light features a unique modular design, where key components are easily accessible for straightforward maintenance and inspection. CoolXtrudeâ„¢ thermal management technology ensures a lifetime of 10 years+ while providing a high lumen output.
The ATEX light fitting has a robust and durable construction from marine grade aluminium and with a wide operating temperature for even the most challenging conditions.
The SPARTAN Mid-Power Bay luminaires are fully certified for Zone 2/22 hazardous areas, including ATEX, IECEx and UKCA.

The Advanced Features of the Mid Power Luminaire:
- Intelligent Self-Test and Indicator LED: This feature allows for easy maintenance and ensures the luminaire is operational and ready to use. It’s a simplified way to check the status of the luminaire, making it easier to identify any potential issues
- Sleep Mode:Â After installation, if the mains power is not applied, the luminaire automatically enters a low-power sleep mode. This helps prevent deep discharge of the battery, which extends its overall lifespan
- Extended Battery Back-Up:Â The Mid Power luminaire offers a range of options, with some variants providing more than 3 hours and up to 100% power backup. This means that even in case of a power outage, the luminaire can continue to function for an extended period, ensuring reliability and minimal disruption
