VEGAPULS C 22

VEGAPULS C 22 is a radar level sensor manufactured by VEGA that provides non-contact level measurement of liquids and bulk solids in simple applications where a high degree of protection is required. It is particularly suitable for use in water treatment, pumping stations, rain overflow basins and level monitoring.

The VEGAPULS C 22 is a maintenance-free operation due to non-contact 80 GHz radar technology and is able to give exact measurement results independent of medium properties, process and environmental conditions.

A low cost sensor with a lateral cable outlet, 4 … 20 mA/HART output, measuring range of up to 15m and a plastic housing (IP66/IP68) making the radar sensor suitable for simple measuring tasks.

Level measurement in fish farming tanks

VEGAPULS C 22 provides non-contact reliable level measurement with radar in fish tanks even in rough weather conditions such as wind, rain and snow. Under ideal conditions, a wide variety of fish species can live in indoor and outdoor tanks, either in or near the sea. It is extremely important that the tanks are reliably monitored against leakage and always adequately supplied with fresh water. Reliable pump monitoring when emptying and filling the tanks is also important. All three factors increase the efficiency of fish production and make a significant contribution to the overall success of the facility.
