ASCO JPIS 8551 Intrinsic Safety ATEX Solenoid Valve

ASCO JPIS 8551 intrinsic safety valves are part of the hazardous area solenoid valve range suitable for use in ATEX Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous area applications.
The JPIS 8551 mounts directly to actuators with NAMUR interfaces and is designed solely for installation in intrinsically safe areas with properly approved and sized current and voltage-limiting safety barriers.
These valves are suitable for use in hazardous locations, as classified by the National Electrical Code: Classes I, II, and III, Division 1, including Groups A through G.
ASCO JPIS 8551 uses electronically enhanced solenoids that have efficient cartridge operators and non polarised coils with triple redundant blocking diodes.
Capacitor stores power required to open the valve, while blocking diodes prevent it from flowing back into the wiring in the hazardous area and Low Power and General Purpose constructions are available.
The nominal ambient working temperature ranges for the ASCO JPIS 8551 hazardous area solenoid valve are -20˚C to 60˚C (-4˚F to 140˚F).
