The Safe-Ground ReConn01 test device is designed to check Safe-Ground static earthing systems for proper operation. Safe-Ground ReConn01 is ATEX Certified to provide static earthing control and dissipation of accumulated static electricity in hazardous area industries with potentially explosive atmospheres, this includes Zone 1 (21) and Zone 2 (22) flammable gas and combustible dust applications.

If the system does not seem to be functioning correctly, the Earthing & Bonding Systems Test Device can help find the problem. The Safe-Ground earthing systems carry out resistive and capacitive measurements to guarantee a good earthing of the desired object.

Every static earthing test device has different criteria for achieving this. That is why one test device has been developed to test this range of systems for use in hazardous areas with potentially explosive atmospheres.

The Safe-Ground ReConn01 is a passive test device that does not generate voltage or store energy without connecting a earthing clamp. It is therefore suitable for use in an ATEX environment. Specially designed and developed for testing the Safe-Ground earthing systems, the ReConn01 offers the following advantages:

Safe-Ground ReConn01 Test Device Operation

The measuring point of the ReConn01 consist of 2 electrically conductive parts that are separated from each other by an insulator. When the clamp of the Safe-Ground system is connected to this point, the entire system will be checked for proper functioning, both resistive and capacitive (in case of Safe-Ground TES01 earthing system for trucks).

The ReConn01 test device has one rotary switch for capacitance selection and one for resistance selection. By turning these selection knobs from the lowest position to the extreme position, the set limit values of the Safe-Ground earthing control units can be checked.
