MEASURING CELL TECHNOLOGY

The main part of the pressure transmitter is the ceramic measuring cell that cleverly transforms the pressure into an electrical signal.

The pressure dependent signal is changed by the integrated electronics into a standard signal output. The sensor element METEC® is used with temperature ranges up to 200 °C and larger process fittings. This element consists of the ceramic-capacitive CERTEC® measuring cell and a special, temperature-compensated chemical seal system.

MATERIAL TRANSMITTER

Available in 316Ti or Alloy C4 (2.4610), the process diaphragm of 316Ti or Elgiloy (2.4711). The process seal is available in FKM, FFKM, EPDM and NBR.

HOUSING VERSIONS

The pressure transmitters housing available in single chamber version in plastic, aluminium and stainless steel. Protection rating IP 68K and external electronics with IP 69K.

♦ Hydraulic Feed Pumps & Product Pipeline Pressure Monitoring – VEGABAR 83 provides reliable measurement of hydraulic pumps and feed pressures of product pipelines. Benefits:

♦ Bitumen Tank Level Measurement – VEGABAR 83 can reliably provide level measurement even though the bitumen is kept at temperatures between +150 °C and +200 °C in asphalt mixing systems Benefits:

  • diaphragm made of alloy C276 which is highly resistant

♦ LNG Gas Pressure Measurement – VEGABAR 83 provides continuous pressure monitoring in LNG tanks where temperatures are as low as -163 °C and pressures are +250 mbar.   Benefits:

♦ Level Measurement Of Milk In Dairies – VEGABAR 83 measures the level of milk stored in storage tanks in arduous conditions (during the cleaning cycle) at a temperature of +4 °C  Benefits:
