MEDC SM87SL are ATEX status lights that have been designed to suit various offshore and onshore applications in ATEX & IECEx Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous areas. A wide range of hazardous area status lights are available to order from Thorne & Derrick, to suit individual requirements and applications.

All ATEX status lights can be supplied as 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 way, and are suitable for use in potentially Explosive Atmospheres and areas with harsh environmental conditions.

Available as LED, xenon, filament and fluorescent ATEX beacons – the SM87SL range of hazardous area status lights are manufactured in marine grade alloy or stainless steel; and are also available in corrosion-free GRP. See model number, XB11SL.

The enclosures are suitable for use offshore or onshore where light weight combined with corrosion resistance is required and can be ordered from Thorne & Derrick with MEDC call points for integration into fire detection systems in the explosive atmosphere industries.

The weatherproof ATEX status light, with explosion protection concept Ex d, can be painted to customers specification and supplied with identification labels. The lights are also close-coupled and pre-wired to customer’s requirements
