Ex d FLAMEPROOF Isolators
  • Ex d Flame Proof Enclosures (Cast Iron or Cast Aluminium).

Flameproof isolators are specified to contain an internal ignition of a flammable atmosphere which will not be transmitted outside of the enclosure, thereby preventing the ignition of surrounding flammable gases and vapours in hazardous area locations. Flameproof is a preferred method of protection when electrical equipment, such as isolators, may potentially have high energy arcing or sparking components in normal operation and therefore the formation of an explosion when in a hazardous atmosphere is not easily avoided.

T&D distribute a complete range of ATEX Ex d hazardous area isolators for use in Cat II, Zone 1, Zone 2, Zone 21 and Zone 22 hazardous area locations – isolators are housed in cast iron (16A-63A) or cast aluminium (80A-250A).
