Raxton Exd/Exe hazardous area adaptors provide a means of electrical connection between different thread forms and sizes – adaptors are ATEX Certified.

Standard Exe Exd adaptors, manufactured by Raxton, have a hexagonal body, or for applications where space is a critical factor, adaptors with a round body with a diameter equal to the A/F dimension of the standard item, may be more useful.

Raxton flameproof (Exd) and increased safety (Ex e) adaptors are marked with the applicable approval number and size.

Certified adaptors should be used following the basic rules in line with good engineering practice:- no more than one conversion adaptor should be used at one time on any given cable entry.

Raxton Exe & Exd adaptors are available in a variety of finishes including Nickel, Electro Zinc, Zinc Passivated, Chromatised, Electroless Nickel and Anodised.

Adaptors are available for up to 2 step sizing. e.g. M20 male x M32 female – the ATEX Certified adaptors are suitable for both Zone 1 & Zone 2 hazardous area installations.
