Increased Safety Breather Drains

Raxton Exe hazardous area breather drains are designed to effectively drain moisture from an enclosure, allow air from the enclosure to vent into the surrounding atmosphere to minimise moisture build up and provide the explosion proof safety required by a hazardous area environments – adaptors are ATEX Certified.

The breather drain, manufactured by Raxton, is fastened by means of an Allen key, the breather drain should be fitted at the lowest point of the enclosure. Raxton Exe breather drains are tested to IP66.

Exe breather drains can be fitted into a chamfered plain hole using drainage washer and locknut or castellated locknut on the inside of the enclosure, or directly into a threaded hole provided that, if the thread protrudes, the drainage hole is visible.

Raxton breather drains can be supplied with either a serrated washer and locknut allowing the condensation to drain whilst ensuring the plug is shakeproof or with a castellated locknut.

The breather Drain is fitted with an ‘O’ ring as standard ensuring that the IP integrity of the installation is maintained.

Raxton increased safety (Ex e) breather drains are marked with the applicable approval number and size.

Raxton Exe metallic drain plugs are available in a variety of finishes including Nickel, Electro Zinc, Zinc Passivated, Chromatised, Electroless Nickel and Anodised.

The ATEX Certified breather drains are suitable for both Zone 1 & Zone 2 hazardous area installations.
