Raxton Exe hazardous area stopping plugs are designed to close any unused entries in electrical equipment without revoking existing certification – Stopping Plugs are ATEX Certified.

Available either with a mushroom head or a hexagonal head Exe stopping plugs are supplied complete with an ‘O’ ring to ensure that the IP rating of the installation is maintained. Tested to IP68.

Exe stopping plugs, manufactured by Raxton, come in two different designs:

Hexagon Head Plug Type CK – Hexagon Headed Plugs are inserted from the outside and fastened by means of a spanner. They can be fitted with a washer to increase the IP rating of the assembly.

Dome Head Plug Type CQ – Dome Head Plugs are inserted from the outside using an allen key. They are fitted with an ‘O’ ring as a norm but can be used with a washer if preferred.

Raxton increased safety (Ex e) stopping plugs are marked with the applicable approval number and size.

Following the basic rules in line with good engineering practice Raxton Stopping Plugs should be inserted directly into the unused entry and not into a thread Reducer or thread Adaptor.

  • Nylon: 30% Glass filled Nylon 66

Raxton Exe stopping plugs are available in a variety of finishes including Nickel, Electro Zinc, Zinc Passivated, Chromatised, Electroless Nickel and Anodised.

The ATEX Certified stopping plugs are suitable for both Zone 1 & Zone 2 hazardous area installations.
