EXHEAT FAW hazardous area air warmers provide intrinsically safe, certified heating and air warming for Zone 1 & Zone 2 (Flammable Gas) hazardous areas and explosive atmospheres according to ATEX Directive.
The EXHEAT FAW range of electric heaters offers a versatile, lightweight air warming solution and can be provided with temperature ratings of T2, T3 and T4 (T Classes).
EXHEAT FAW hazardous area air warmers are certified to meet ATEX equipment directive and IECEx standards and are suitable for wall or floor mounting.

- Lightweight – heater enclosure is certified weatherproof to ingress protection IP67
- Power Supply – suitable for 1 phase or 3 phase (3 or 4 wire) or DC power supplies
- Installation – suitable for horizontal floor or wall mounting in hazardous areas
- Cable – 20mm cable entry is provided as standard, additional entries can be provided
- Protection – powder coated finish on standard electrical heater design / corrosion resistant 316L Stainless Steel on compact design
- Flameproof – optional range of flameproof room thermostats can also be provided for explosive atmospheres
- Options – T3 / T4 T Class units are suitable for ambient temperatures from -60°C to +40°C and T2 units to +60°C

Note: FAW heaters are designed to operate in potentially explosive atmospheres with ambient temperatures of up to +40°C (T3 & T4 rated units) and +60°C (T2 rated units) and the user must ensure that this temperature is not exceeded at any time.

The air warmer should be fixed into place using the pre-drilled holes and all terminal connections checked for tightness prior to energising.
The appliance must be securely fitted to a wall or floor using only the brackets provided and the orientation of the electric heaters must be strictly adhered to with the feet facing down at all times.
