Pressure sensors can be used to help to maintain the correct liquid pressure. The Sick PHT pressure transmitter has a hygienic design and easy cleanability which are key requirements for the safe and economic operation of the filling machine.

The filling of carbonated beverages requires pressurisation of the beverage and the bottles or cans to avoid foam generation due to expanding carbon dioxide. Smooth filling at high throughput requires precise pressure control.
